A class for children who require additional support to participate in gymnastics. This is a structured class where we also encourage parental involvement where suitable.

Through this class, gymnasts will develop the basics of gymnastics through learning key shapes, movement patterns and basic skill development, along with opportunity to socialise with their peers. Children will work in small groups, along with a personal coach to follow a warm-up activity, and circuit-based gymnastics activities.

We currently cater for physical and social needs, but if you are concerned if this is the correct class for your child please don't hesitate to get in touch.

**If there is a child with Down syndrome attending, they must be screened for Atlanto-Axial instability - without the club having a record of this we cannot allow attendance in this session.

Please see the instructions below on how to do this:

- Forward on the Atlanto-Axial Instability Information pack attached to this email to the parent of the child with Down syndrome who will need to book an appointment with a medical practitioner to have this check completed

- Once filled out, this will need emailing to inclusion@british-gymnastics.org who aim to get back to you in 30 days. Leeds Gymnastics Club will also need a record of this form to update our records.
